A series of 10 museums that collectively tell the fascinating story of the Ironbridge Gorge World Heritage Site. Abraham Darby perfected an iron-smelting technique here in 1709 that revolutionised the way things were made, kicking starting the Industrial Revolution. Explore museums filled with exquisite china, beautiful tiles and decorative iron... all plentifully made here in the 18th, 19th & 20th centuries. The highlight is a complete working Victorian Town with costumed characters, quaint cottages & thriving workshops.
