The Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) performs all year round in Shakespeare’s home town, Stratford-upon-Avon. With two thrust-stage theatres, we bring audiences and actors closer together for the best possible live theatre experience. Our programme is a mix of Shakespeare plays, Elizabethan and Jacobean writers and living playwrights.
Visiting during the daytime? Learn the secrets and stories from 100 years of theatre making in our interactive exhibition; enjoy the stunning views from the Tower; discover the world of backstage on a guided Theatre Tour. Great food and stunning scenery are always on the menu at the RSC’s Rooftop Restaurant.
The Other Place is our creative hub with a studio theatre, rehearsal rooms and cafe bar. The ideal place for conferences for up to 200 people.

Covid-19 Specific Information
Our buildings and theatres are currently closed, in line with government guidance. This includes our restaurants, exhibitions, cafes, tours and hire services. We won’t have any full theatre productions until later in 2021, but our activity continues online and supporting teachers, children and young people in schools.
