Set within the UK’s largest Cathedral Close (80-acres of rolling green lawns fringed by historic houses) it is one of the finest examples of Early English Gothic architecture, built in just 38 years between 1220 and 1258.

Extensive cleaning and safety measures have been put in place and the Cathedral has achieved Visit Britain's 'Good to Go' Covid-19 industry standard for visitor attractions, confirming that clear processes are in place to protect the safety of our visitors.
